Your data
Delete your MyTravelStatus account
You can delete your account and everything in it yourself, at any time, on the website or in the MyTravelStatus app for iPhone, iPad and Android. MyTravelStatus is operated by The Burrowbridge Group, LLC.
How to delete your account
- Sign in. On the website, sign in with your email address. In the app, open it as usual.
- Open Settings. On the website it is in the menu. In the app it is under More.
- Choose “Delete my account…” at the bottom of the page, type DELETE to confirm, and press “Permanently delete my account”.
It takes effect at once and cannot be undone. If you might need your record later, use “Export my data” in Settings first: it downloads everything as a spreadsheet.
If you can't sign in
Write to support@mytravelstatus.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm it is you before we do, and tell you when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in details, and every signed-in session, on the website and in the apps.
- Your trips, the people in your household, permits, travel documents, EES checks, UK residence answers and settings.
- The full change history of those records.
- Evidence files you uploaded and booking emails you forwarded.
- Phones and tablets linked to the app, and the days they recorded.
- Your calendar subscription link, and your support conversations.
- Any subscription is cancelled, and we ask our payment provider to delete the customer record we created.
What is kept, and for how long
- Database backups: up to 30 days. Our hosting provider keeps point-in-time backups, so deleted data can persist in a backup for that long before it is gone for good.
- Our admin log: six years. If a member of staff deleted the account for you, the log keeps the action, the reason and the account id. It holds no email address and no travel data.
- Email from an address with no account: 12 months. A support conversation sent from an address that isn't on an account isn't attached to one, so deleting an account doesn't remove it. It goes 12 months after its last message, or sooner if you ask.
- Payment records. The seller that took your payment keeps its own records under its own privacy policy.
The privacy policy has the full list. To delete only some of your data and keep the account, remove the trips, people, documents or files themselves in the tracker.
